What is a Mini-Grant?
ReACT mini-grants are stipends offered to Montana students 12-18 years old to promote tobacco advocacy, education, and prevention at the community level.
Currently, ReACT offers two project topics for applicants to select from:
- Days of Actions
- Through with Chew Week
- Take Down Tobacco Day
- World No Tobacco Day
- Red Ribbon Week
- Great American Smoke Out
- Tobacco-Free Community Events
- Rodeos
- Sporting Touranments
- Escape Rooms
- Pet Pageant
- Fairs
- Runs
- Lock-ins
- Dances
Youth provide leadership and collaborate with an adult advisor in their local areas. Applicants may request up to $2,000. The grants are competitive, so make yours awesome!
2024-25 Mini-Grant Cycle
- July 17th, 2024 – Application Opens
- October 1st, 2024 – Application Closes
- October 18th, 2024 – Recipient Announcements
- November 4th, 2024 – Project Introduction Videos Due
- November 18h, 2024 – Distribution of Funds
- June 23rd, 2025 –Final Reports Due
- June 27th, 2025– Grant Cycle Ends
How to Apply
To submit a mini-grant application, follow the steps below:
- Identify a youth project lead and an adult advisor.
- Read the Mini-Grant 2024-2025 Guide
- Select a project topic.
- Complete the online application with an attached W9 form
Mini-Grant Requirements
- Youth Project Lead
- Adult Advisor
- Grant applicants must be in grades 6th -12th
- Grant recipients must declare that they are not affiliated with or receive funding or materials from the Tobacco or Vaping Industry.
- Grant recipients must submit an electronic Final Report by June 27th, 2025
